Sandra McClintock died as a result of injuries she received when the golf cart she was driving was t-boned near the intersection of West Wood Drive and 138th Avenue in Sun City West.
Five children and two adults were seriously injured when the minivan in which they were riding was struck by a pickup truck on Saturday evening. The accident occurred near Deer Valley Road and 87th Avenue in Peoria. According to investigators with the Peoria Police Department, the pickup truck was heading northbound on 87th Avenue when the collision occurred.
Rene Martinez and Marcos Alfonso Valdez Sanchez were killed early Monday morning when the Honda in which they were riding was rear-ended at a high rate of speed by a car whose driver reportedly had a blood alcohol content of more than twice the legal limit.
Westbound Loop 101 was closed at Interstate 17 for six hours during Tuesday morning’s commute after a wrong-way driver crashed head-on into another vehicle, killing both drivers. The wrong-way driver’s car then burst into flames.

Police have arrested Keith Johnson in connection with the fatal crash that killed Margie Yaw-Melos. According to police, Johnson was attempting to kill himself when he triggered a multi-vehicle collision at Peoria Avenue and Litchfield Road in Surprise. Instead, Johnson's actions resulted in death of Ms. Yaw-Melos and injuries to two other innocent people.
Loscar Ochoa of Surprise was killed on Wednesday evening after his Kia sedan struck another car on Fain Road near Robert Road in Prescott Valley. The collision caused his vehicle to enter the median where it rolled. Accident investigators with the Prescott Valley Police Department report that Mr. Ochoa was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
A SUV carrying nine people eastbound on Interstate 10 just outside Goodyear rolled, killing two of the occupants and sending six others to hospitals nearby. Maria Del Carmen Chavez, age 31, and an as-yet-unidentified 4 year old boy, both from Glendale, were identified as the deceased.
Kevin Douglas Terry was killed over the weekend when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a pickup truck. The incident occurred at the intersection of 45th Avenue and Camelback Road in Glendale.

Michael Freeman was killed Friday evening when a vehicle exiting a private drive pulled directly into the path of his motorcycle. The driver fled the scene, which was captured on surveillance video. Accident investigators with the Glendale Police Department say that Mr. Freeman reportedly was traveling west on Northern Avenue at 51st Avenue when the tragic incident occurred. Mr. Freeman attempted to lay down his motorcycle, but was unable to avoid the fatal collision.
Joshua Merrill died when the single-engine Beechcraft he was piloting crash-landed in a greenbelt near a retirement community in Surprise. Michael Fox, age 32, his passenger and friend, is hospitalized with serious injuries.
Benjamin Gayongala was killed Sunday afternoon on Interstate 10 when a commercial vehicle changed lanes into a Nissan sedan, causing the Nissan to cross the interstate median where it struck a Cadillac station wagon. Mr. Gayongala was a passenger in the Cadillac. The tragic incident occurred near 339th Avenue. The driver of the commercial vehicle left the scene.
Abigail Melisko, age 16, died on Wednesday from injuries she suffered on March 1st when she was hit by a car. Abigail, a student at Sunrise Mountain High School, was walking to school and in a crosswalk with a walk signal at the intersection of 87th Avenue and Lake Pleasant Parkway in Peoria when she was hit by a driver who reportedly ran a red light.
Derek Pyle of Surprise was killed Saturday afternoon when his motorcycle was rear-ended by a SUV driven by an unidentified and unlicensed 16-year-old driver. The collision forced Mr. Pyle's bike into another vehicle.
Jorge Rivas was killed Thursday morning when a vehicle turned left from 57th Drive in front of his northbound Honda. Accident investigators with the Glendale Police Department report that impairment was ruled out as a factor contributing to the accident.
Erin Snyder, a popular math teacher at Cactus High School in Glendale, was paralyzed as a result of a car accident on March 18th. According to investigators with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Ms. Snyder was driving on Interstate 10 when her vehicle was hit from behind at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the SUV reportedly lost control of his vehicle as he attempted to park it. After striking the bystanders, the SUV crashed into the restaurant building.
Donte Caraway and an as yet unidentified five year old girl, were killed Sunday morning when the car in which they were riding was first struck head-on by a car that crossed the centerline of Bethany Home Road in the 8100 block. A third car, then, rear-ended the Caraway vehicle. Two other young girls who were riding in the Caraway car also were injured in the impacts, as were occupants of the other two vehicles.
Brandon Montemayor, age 24, died Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle as he was crossing a street at the intersection of Thunderbird Road and 57th Drive. Mr. Montemayor was in a crosswalk when he was hit.
Monica Soto was killed Sunday night when the car in which she was riding veered off Maryland Avenue, onto a curb, and into a park where it crashed into concrete barriers and rolled. Two other occupants of the car were transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Gary Allen Fisher died Saturday night from injuries he received when his motorcycle was rear-ended while he was moving through the intersection of Thunderbird Road and 75th Avenue. The driver of the offending vehicle fled the scene of the collision, but was apprehended by Peoria Police accident investigators who reportedly followed a fluid trail left on Thunderbird Road as a result of the collision.

Police are searching for a driver whose careless actions resulted in the death of Stephen Alford. According to Tracey Breeden of the Glendale Police Department, Mr. Alford was driving his motorcycle westbound on Peoria Avenue when a vehicle on 51st Avenue turned left in front of him. Mr. Alford took evasive action to avoid a collision, resulting in him crashing.
