Phoenix, Arizona—Jeremy Steves and Chantal Larrabee, both age 22, were killed yesterday when their motorcycle collided with a vehicle driven by a 32 year woman, whose identity has not yet been released by law enforcement authorities.  The accident occurred when the driver of the vehicle began a left turn from a stop sign onto North Seventh Street at Oraibi Drive in Phoenix.  The motorcycle was southbound on Seventh Street when the accident occurred.

Both Mr. Steves and Ms. Larrabee were wearing helmets at the time of the collision, but the impact was so violent that neither survived.

The unidentified driver of the vehicle suffered serious injuries, but she is expected to recover.  Two children who were passengers in her car were reportedly not injured.

The accident is under investigation by the Phoenix Police Department.

We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Steves and Ms. Larrabee.  We wish the other young woman a speedy recovery.
