Two Car Accident Victims Air Lifted From Coolidge

Coolidge, Arizona—Two people were air lifted from Arizona Boulevard in Coolidge on Thursday following a two car accident there. The collision occurred when the driver of a Chevrolet Impala failed to yield while leaving a commercial parking lot. The Impala collided with a southbound Kia Sonata, which caused the Kia to first strike a light pole, then hit a shopping center sign.

No one in the Impala was injured, and the driver was cited for failure to yield.

Names of those involved in the accident have not yet been released. We wish speedy recoveries for those who were injured.

Ryan Southey of Scottsdale, Arizona, died from injuries he received when he was struck by a pick-up truck while he helped a friend change a flat tire.  Mr. Southey was transported to a Fort Worth hospital for treatment of injuries he received in the collision, but he later died at the hospital.
