Susan Zarnoch Injured in Accident With Penske/FedEx Truck

Chino Valley, Arizona—Susan Zarnoch of Chino Valley was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center following a collision on Wednesday with a Penske/Fed Ex delivery truck.  The truck driver was identified as Riley Sliger of Prescott.  He, too, was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center.

According to Chino Valley Police investigators, Sliger failed to yield the right of way to Ms. Zarnoch at the intersection of Eldred and Road 3 North.

Both drivers are reported to be in stable condition.  We wish them a speedy recovery.

Emily Akins Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision

Emily Akins was killed on Saturday evening as she road her bicycle near Kadota Avenue and Saguaro Street in Casa Grande. The driver who hit her fled the scene but was later arrested by investigating officers.
