A hit-and-run accident on Interstate 10 in Goodyear on Sunday left a man with life-threatening injuries. According to Arizona Department of Public Safety accident investigators, the driver of a black pickup truck lost control and crossed several lanes before coming to rest in the HOV and high-speed lanes of the freeway.

Justin Folsome, a detention officer with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, died of injuries he received when his vehicle was struck from behind by a semi-truck on Tuesday afternoon. The accident occurred on SR-85 near Buckeye. The driver of the semi was transported and admitted to the hospital.

The as-yet unidentified male driver and sole occupant of one of the cars died at the scene. The woman driving the other car was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died.
