Buckeye Personal Injury and Car Accident News
Justin Folsome, a detention officer with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, died of injuries he received when his vehicle was struck from behind by a semi-truck on Tuesday afternoon. The accident occurred on SR-85 near Buckeye. The driver of the semi was transported and admitted to the hospital.
The Department of Public Safety reports that a state trooper was seriously injured while directing traffic on SR-85 on Monday night. Troopers were in the area at about 6:00 p.m. directing all northbound traffic on SR-85 into the right lane.

The impact resulted in the sedan bursting into flames, while the driver and passengers were unable to escape. The victims were so badly burned that identification by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner is required. The identities of those who died have not yet been released by the coroner.
