Tropical Smoothie Cafe has been linked to a Hepatitis A outbreak that has sickened at least 109 people in Virginia, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, West Virginia and Wisconsin. At least 39 of those sickened in the outbreak required hospitalization. The outbreak, which is being investigated by the CDC, FDA and several state public health organizations, is believed to be linked to frozen strawberries from Egypt.
