Brandon Windhal Killed in Fiery Car Accident in Peoria
Peoria, Arizona—The Peoria Police Department today identified Brandon Windhal, age 19, as the individual who died in the fiery crash on Friday evening on Lake Pleasant Parkway and Westwing Parkway.
Mr. Windhal was a passenger in a Ford F-250 pickup truck that was traveling northbound on Lake Pleasant Parkway. The truck collided with a sedan traveling westbound that was attempting a left turn onto Westwing Parkway. Following the impact, the Ford F-250 was propelled into a traffic light pole and caught fire.
Two other passengers in the pickup truck were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the sedan, described only as an 18-year-old woman, and another passenger in her vehicle were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Accident investigators have not said whether speed or impairment were factors in the crash.
