Leland Billie Struck and Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident

Glendale, Arizona—Leland Billie, age 25, was killed Thursday night around 10:30 by a hit-and-run driver near Bethany Home Road and 59th Avenue.  The vehicle that struck Mr. Billie was proceeding westbound on Bethany Home Road.

Bethany Home Road was closed for several hours in both directions from 59th Avenue to 63rd Avenue while Glendale police investigated the accident.

Investigators with the Glendale Police Department reviewed security footage from a nearby store in hopes of gathering more information.  Police also interviewed one witness who was unable to provide a description of the vehicle. The suspect vehicle would have sustained damage to the front end.
