Pedestrian Killed in Accident on Camelback Road in Glendale

Glendale, Arizona—An adult female was struck and killed as she walked across Camelback Road in the early morning hours Wednesday.  The tragic accident occurred near 69th Avenue.  Police accident investigators and the Arizona Department of Transportation closed Camelback Road between 67th and 75th Avenues.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

Aerial video footage of the scene showed a pickup truck in the middle of the road with damage to the front passenger side.  Two men were seated on the median while officers questioned them.

We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the woman who died in this tragic accident.
