Philip Wilson Dies When Struck by Motorcycle

Glendale, Arizona—Philip Wilson, age 52, and Dustin Scherr, age 20, died Thursday evening when Mr. Scherr’s motorcycle struck Mr. Wilson, who was crossing 59th Avenue.
Glendale Police Department accident investigators report that Mr. Scherr was northbound on 59th Avenue near Bethany Home Road when the tragic accident occurred. Police believe speed may have been a factor contributing to the accident. It is not yet known whether impairment played a role. Investigation into the incident continues.
