Surprise, Arizona—A trooper with the Arizona Department of Public Safety was one of five people injured in a car accident that closed parts of Grand Avenue in Surprise for almost five hours on Friday morning.
Surprise Fire-Medical responded to the call on westbound Grand Avenue U.S. 60 at R.H. Johnson Boulevard at about 8:30 a.m. One person was hospitalized with serious injuries. All other injuries were minor. The investigation is ongoing.
