Accident Near Kingman Claims Life of Chinese Tourist, Others Injured

Kingman, Arizona—One person died and several others were injured when a van carrying nine tourists from China collided with a pickup truck outside Kingman yesterday morning.

Arizona Department of Public Safety accident investigators report that the van pulled out in front of an oncoming Ford F-250 near the intersection of U.S. 93 and Pierce Ferry Road about 30 miles north of Kingman.  The van’s driver and one passenger were transported to hospitals in Las Vegas with serious injuries.  Three others sustained minor injuries.

Rescue efforts included two helicopters.

Our hearts are with the victim’s family and friends.  We wish those who were injured swift and full recoveries.
