Parker, Arizona—Megan Nicholson, a 25-year-old mother of three from Yuma, was killed Tuesday in a rollover accident on State Route 62 about 10 miles west of Parker, Arizona.

The eastbound 2003 Ford Explorer in which she was a passenger moved onto the right shoulder of the highway in order to avoid colliding with an oncoming vehicle.  The truck’s 31 year old male driver overcorrected, sending the truck into westbound traffic before rolling over.  Ms. Nicholson was partially ejected, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s report.

Also riding in the truck were Ms. Nicholson’s three children, ages 4, 2 and 2 months and a niece, some of whom were sent to local hospitals for treatment of injures.

We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Nicholson over this tragic loss, and we wish those who were injured speedy recoveries.
