
Matthew Haughey and Krystin Phillips Killed in Chandler Car Accident

Chandler, Arizona—Mesa residents Matthew Haughey, age 27, and Krystin Phillips, age 26, were killed when their vehicle struck the rear of a DPS vehicle that was parked on the shoulder of Loop 202 at Kyrene Road on Saturday afternoon.
The as-yet unidentified trooper was transported to a hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
We offer our sympathy to the families and friends of Krystin Phillips and Matthew Haughey as they mourn their losses. We wish a speedy recovery for the injured state trooper.
