
Judy Kurtz Killed by Suspected DUI Hit-and-Run Driver

Chandler, Arizona—Judy Kurtz, age 56, died as a result of injuries she received Saturday at the hands of a hit-and-run driver suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol..
Kinton Robert Bruce, age 27, was driving eastbound on Ray Road when he ran two red lights as he entered the intersection at an estimated speed of 75 mph. He collided with a car that was northbound on Price driven by Ms. Kurtz.
Mr. Bruce’s car rolled several times before he exited it and fled. Witnesses apprehended him about a quarter mile from the scene. Ms. Kurtz was transported to a hospital where she later died.
A field sobriety test indicated Mr. Bruce had a blood alcohol content of .255. He is being held on a $50,000 bond and faces possible charges of manslaughter, hit-and-run and two counts of endangerment.
