Phoenix, Arizona—On July 30, 2015, I wrote about a tragic motorcycle accident that claimed the life of Shawn Sather. David Falco was on the Loop 303 when he collided with the motorcycle driven by Mr. Sather.
Police reported his blood alcohol concentration was 0.167, more than twice the legal limit, when he struck Mr. Sather. An investigating officer with the Arizona Department of Publlic Safety found a bottle of vodka in Mr. Falco's vehicle. He was charged with reckless manslaughter and endangerment.
Mr. Falco has pled guilty to reckless manslaughter and endangerment in Maricopa County Superior Court earlier this month. He will be sentenced on April 22, 2016.
We again express our condolences to Mr. Sather’s family and friends over his tragic loss.
