Jesse Gerhardt Jr. and Tamara Kelley Suffer Serious Injuries in Prescott Motorcycle Accident

Prescott, Arizona—Jesse Gerhardt, Jr. and Tamara Kelley, both 58, sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on Sunday. The accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Gurley Street and Overland Trail in Prescott.
According to investigators with the Prescott Police Department, Mr. Gerhardt was operating the motorcycle eastbound on Gurley Street with Ms. Kelley as his passenger. Witnesses observed Mr. Gerhardt cross three lanes of traffic in an attempt to turn right onto Overland Trail. Mr. Gerhardt failed to negotiate the turn and struck the concrete curb at the median separating lanes of travel on Overland Trail. After the impact, Mr. Gerhardt and Ms. Kelley both were ejected from the motorcycle.
Both individuals were flown to HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center in Phoenix and are listed in critical condition.

June 4, 2019: Prescott Police announced that, on May 31, 2019, Tamara Kelley died from injuries sustained in this accident. We offer our condolences to her family and friends.
