Kathryn Hanson of West Fargo Killed in Scottsdale Motorcycle Accident

Scottsdale, Arizona—Kathryn Hanson, age 36 from West Fargo, North Dakota, died as the result of injuries she received when the motorcycle on which she was a passenger collided with a sedan in Scottsdale.  The accident occurred at about 3:00 on Monday afternoon. 

Scottsdale Police Department accident investigators report that Ms. Hanson was transported to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.  The as-yet unidentified 47-year-old male who was driving the motorcycle remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation continues.  No additional information presently is available regarding the name or medical condition of the driver of the sedan.

We extend our sympathy to Ms. Hanson’s family and friends over this tragic loss, and we wish the injured motorcycle driver a fast and full recovery.
