Tempe, Arizona—Michael Maffei of Fountain Hills was killed after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle on Loop 101 near Broadway Road in Tempe. The driver of the car was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
DPS officials continue investigating the cause of this tragic accident. Driver impairment is not considered a factor.
