Michael Martel Killed in Motorcycle Accident On SR-51

Phoenix, Arizona—Michael Martel, age 67, was killed late Friday in a collision involving three vehicles on SR-51 just south of Indian School Road.
Arizona Department of Public Safety accident investigators report that the chain of events began when a car swerved in order to avoid hitting another. In doing so, the first car struck Mr. Martel, who was thrown from his bike. The vehicle following them was unable to avoid striking Mr. Martel.
