
Scottsdale Police Motorcycle Officer Injured During Traffic Stop

Scottsdale, Arizona—A Scottsdale Police motorcycle officer was injured during a routine traffic stop this morning when a green Ford pickup truck veered into the northbound median of Loop 101 and ran into the stopped car and officer’s motorcycle, pinning the officer and his bike against the median wall.
Arizona Department of Public Safety accident investigators report that the officer was able to walk once freed from the wreckage. He was hospitalized for treatment of his injuries.
The Arizona Department of Transportation directed traffic to exit at Chaparral Road.
