Phoenix, Arizona—Andy Chilimidos, age 50, and Darlene Atencio, age 45, both of St. Johns, were killed early Saturday morning when a reportedly inebriated driver, Maikil Doud Schol, age 29 of the nation of Sudan, struck their motorcycle head-on on Loop 202 near the Priest Drive exit.  Schol was driving the wrong way on the freeway when the collision occurred.

Schol was arrested and charged with two counts of second degree homicide.

We wish to express our sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Chilimidos and Ms. Atencio over this terrible loss.

This tragic incident should serve as a warning to all drivers.  Do not, under any circumstances, drink and drive.
