Phoenix, Arizona—Joseph Brinkman, age 14 of Phoenix, was killed in a rollover accident in Overgaard over the Labor Day weekend.  Navajo County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call where they found the teen unresponsive.

Mr. Brinkman was driving a Yamaha UTV side-by-side carrying one passenger.  NCSD accident investigators report that the teen apparently stopped at the end of the road, then accelerated as he turned left.  Acceleration caused the two left tires to lift off the ground.  Joseph overcorrected, sending the UTV into a leftward roll and ejecting him before coming to rest on top of him.

We extend our condolences to young Mr. Brinkman’s family and friends at this time of great loss, and we wish his passenger a speedy recovery.
