Phoenix, Arizona—Mary Boysman, age 55 of Oswego, New York, was killed early yesterday morning when the SUV in which she was a passenger was struck head-on by a wrong-way driver on State Route 51 between Bell and Greenway Roads.  Ms. Boysman’s commercial driver, Raja Marlmuthu, was seriously injured and transported to a hospital.

Benjamin Charles Kuzelka, age 27 of Phoenix, drove northbound in the southbound carpool lane of State Route 51, colliding with the SUV.  Kuzelka was also transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries he received in the collision.

The accident remains under investigation and it is likely Kuzelka will soon face arrest.

We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Boysman, and we wish Mr. Marlmuthu a speedy and complete recovery.
