Two Couples Killed in Yavapai County Plane Crash

Paulden, Arizona—James Parrish, age 57, his wife Lisa Parrish, age 54, Mike Hughes, age 65, and his wife Joy Hughes, age 63, were all killed Friday afternoon when their Cessna 340 aircraft reportedly struck either trees or a radio tower, then exploded on impact.  The tragic incident occurred on the grounds of the Gunsite Firearms Training Academy in Paulden.

The plane left Bullhead City, Arizona on Friday morning bound for Prescott, Arizona, near Paulden.  The two couples were expected to travel by ground from Prescott to Paulden later in the day.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.

We wish to express our sympathy to the Parrish and Hughes families at this time of great loss for them.
