Accident Causes Tragic Loss for Rayyan Family
Tonopah, Arizona—A Scottsdale family suffered a tragic loss Friday afternoon when the vehicle in which they were riding left the roadway and rolled. Dead at the scene were the driver, Maher Rayyan, age 57, and Maha Rayyan, age 48. The two other passengers Isa Rayyan, age 82, and Zarifeh Rayyan, age 81, were transported to Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear with serious injuries.
Arizona Department of Public Safety accident investigators report that the Rayyan sedan was eastbound on Interstate 10 near milepost 90 when, for an unknown reason, it drifted onto the left shoulder. Mr. Rayyan overcorrected which caused the vehicle to roll. ADPS continues its investigation into the cause of the accident.
Our thoughts are with the extended Rayyan family as they grieve the loss of two of their family members, and we wish those who were injured speedy and complete recoveries.
