Accident on Northbound I-17 Sends 13 People to Hospital

Rock Springs, Arizona—A crash involving seven vehicles sent more than a dozen people to hospitals on Sunday afternoon.  Northbound I-17 at Rock Springs was closed for almost two hours as officers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety investigated the accident.
 
A spokesperson for the Daisy Mountain Fire Department said five medical helicopters were called to the scene.  No additional information presently is available regarding the names or medical conditions of the injured.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety continues its accident investigation.
