Skydiving Accident Claims Life of Ronald Mazzola, Jr.

Eloy, Arizona—Ronald Mazzola, Jr., age 37 of Salt Lake City, Utah, died in a skydiving accident on New Year’s Eve in Eloy.

According to one eyewitness, the jump went well until Mazzola’s parachute collapsed about 100 feet from the ground.  In spite of the immediate life-saving efforts of bystanders, then later the Eloy Fire Department, Mr. Mazzola died at the scene.  Mr. Mazzola had more than nine years experience with 800 jumps.
