Three Members of Hirayama Family Killed, One Critically Injured in Accident

Tomohiro Hirayama, Sachiyo Hirayama and their son, Yuki Hirayama, were killed Friday in a car crash on the Navajo Reservation.  A fourth member of the family, Rinka, was critically injured and transported to a Phoenix hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Larry Curley Survives Crash that Killed His Entire Family

A horrific crash on Interstate 10 Saturday claimed the lives of five members of the same family.  Larry Curley lost his three children, Tyler, age 12; Kayla, age 9; Breanna, age 7; as well as his sister Danielle and his mother, Shelly Blackmore.  Only Mr. Curley and his father, Tracy Blackmore, survived the tragic accident.

Mark Klein Killed in Florida Car Crash

Mark Klein of Surprise, Arizona was killed early Wednesday morning in a car crash on Interstate 95 in west central Florida.  A Long Island, New York man also died in the accident, and seven other people were transported to hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Dian Zou Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured in Single Car Accident

Dian Zou of China was killed early Wednesday morning when the car he was driving went off the roadway on State Route 88 and plunged down a 200 foot cliff.  An unidentified male passenger in Mr. Zou’s vehicle reportedly was injured in the accident.

Larry Moeckel Killed in Car-Bicycle Accident

Larry Moeckel was killed Friday evening as he was riding his bicycle near Pima Road and Dixileta.  Mr. Moeckel was struck by a car.  The identity of the driver has not yet been released by accident investigators.

Kenneth Imthurn and Janna Imthurn Critically Injured in Motorcycle Crash

Kenneth Imthurn and Janna Imthurn were seriously injured when their motorcycle was rear-ended Monday evening on Highway 68 in Bullhead City.  Mr. Imthurn, who was driving the bike, slowed to avoid hitting a burro that had wandered onto the highway when an as yet unidentified driver of a car struck the motorcycle.

Eugene Laughing, Jr. and Brenson Chee Killed When Struck By Pick-Up Truck

Eugene Laughing, Jr. of Chinle, Arizona and Brenson Chee of Teec Nose Pos, Arizona died Saturday when they were struck by a pick-up truck in Liberal, Kansas.  Both men were on foot when the accident occurred.

Londo Burns, Valerie McKay Killed, Two Others Injured in Single Vehicle Accident

Londo Burns and Valerie McKay both died as a result of injuries they received when Ms. McKay’s SUV first struck a median, then hit a tree.  Ms. McKay lost control of her vehicle and, according to Scottsdale Police Department accident investigators, speed and alcohol cannot be ruled out as contributing factors to the collision.
