Leander Frank, Navajo Nation Officer, Killed in Crash

Leander Frank, a Navajo Nation officer, was killed Tuesday in a head-on collision on SR-64 between Chinle and Tsaile, Arizona. DPS accident investigators report that Officer Frank was dispatched to a call in Tsaile in Apache County. While Officer Frank was answering the call, another vehicle approached his patrol car head-on. Both vehicles took evasive action but were unable to avoid a collision.

Phoenix Police Car Seriously Injures Three-Year-Old Girl in Crash

A three-year-old girl is hospitalized in a medically-induced coma after she was struck by a Phoenix police vehicle while crossing the street in front of her house. She had just bought an ice cream treat from a vending truck and was returning home. The tragic incident happened one week ago near Camelback Road and 57th Avenue.

Susan Bartholomew Dies in Dust Storm Accident on I-10 Near Quartzsite

Susan Bartholomew of Litchfield Park, Arizona was killed in an accident Monday afternoon when a dust storm on I-10 near the California border reduced visibility to zero. Arizona DPS accident investigators report that Ms. Bartholomew’s vehicle was crushed between two commercial tractor-trailer rigs. She died at the scene.

Five Rescued After Car Accident on Mount Elden

Several area agencies responded to a 911 call shortly before 5:00 P.M. Saturday after a vehicle left the roadway and tumbled down a steep embankment about six miles up Mount Elden Lookout Road.

Reports Show Thousands Injured by Roadway Debris Each Year

Data from the American Automobile Association Foundation for Traffic Safety show that from 2011 to 2014, there were 200,000 crashes involving debris on America’s roads. 39,000 people were injured and more than 500 people were killed. That is a 40% increase since 2001, according to AAA.

Christopher Canavett Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident

Christopher Canavett was killed Sunday evening when his car crossed over the centerline and collided head-on with another vehicle. Mr. Canavett was driving southbound on SR-347 when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle drifted into northbound traffic, where it side-swiped one vehicle before colliding head-on with a third. A fourth vehicle rear-ended the third.

Osbaldo Martinez Killed in Accident, Driver Charged with Manslaughter

Osbaldo Martinez was killed August 4th in a horrific accident when his 2000 Volkswagen Jetta was t-boned by another driver traveling at more than 100 miles per hour. Victor Cepeda, age 19, is charged with manslaughter after his 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck collided with Mr. Martinez’s car in the intersection at 51st Avenue and Osborn Road.
