Joseph Morgan Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident

Joseph Morgan of Lake Havasu was killed early Tuesday morning when his pickup truck was t-boned by a speeding red light runner. Nicholas Hasson of Lake Havasu reportedly blew through the intersection of Palo Verde Boulevard and Acoma Boulevard, striking Mr. Morgan’s truck. The impact ejected Mr. Morgan from his truck, killing him immediately.

Yue Jiang Shot and Killed in Apparent Road Rage Incident

Yue Jiang, a 19 year old ASU exchange student from China, died as the result of injuries she received Saturday afternoon when her car was involved in a minor fender-bender which forced her car into oncoming traffic. Ms. Jiang was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Broadway Road and McClintock Drive when her car was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Holly Davis, age 32. No injuries resulted from this initial impact.

DPS Officer Blake Richards Struck During Routine Traffic Stop

Blake Richards, a 10-year veteran state trooper with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, was struck while issuing a citation Thursday morning on westbound Interstate 10 at 43rd Avenue. Officer Richards was finishing the paperwork for a vehicle he had stopped when a maroon minivan reportedly drifted onto the road shoulder and struck the trooper and his motorcycle before hitting the back of the vehicle the trooper had stopped.

Sabrina Levi Killed in Accident with Suspected Drunk Driver

Sabrina Levi died from injuries she received in a head-on collision late last month. Noe Padilla Ahumada was driving his pick-up truck north on 51st Avenue near Olive Avenue when he reportedly crossed into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with Ms. Levi's sedan. Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles.

Richard Fyffe Dies in Car-Pedestrian Accident

Richard Fyffe died Saturday evening when he was struck by a car while crossing the intersection at Hastings and Hidden Treasure ways in Anthem.

Skydiving Accident Claims Life of Ronald Mazzola, Jr.

Ronald Mazzola, Jr. of Salt Lake City Utah, died in a skydiving accident on New Year’s Eve in Eloy. According to one eyewitness, the jump went well until Mazzola’s parachute collapsed about 100 feet from the ground. In spite of the immediate life-saving efforts of bystanders, then later the Eloy Fire Department, Mr. Mazzola died at the scene. Mr. Mazzola had more than nine years experience with 800 jumps.
