Teen Who Died in Boating Accident Identified as Guadalupe Granados

The victim of a boating accident on the Colorado River in Arizona two weeks ago has been identified as Guadalupe Granados, age 13 of San Bernardino, California. Guadalupe was vacationing with her family along the Colorado River the weekend prior to the Fourth of July Holiday. We first wrote about this tragic incident on June 26th.

Megan Nicholson Dies in Rollover Crash

Megan Nicholson, a 25 year old mother of three from Yuma, was killed Tuesday in a rollover accident on SR-62 about 10 miles west of Parker, Arizona. The eastbound 2003 Ford Explorer in which she was a passenger moved onto the right shoulder of the highway in order to avoid colliding with an oncoming vehicle. The truck’s 31-year-old male driver overcorrected, sending the truck into westbound traffic before rolling over. Ms. Nicholson was partially ejected, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s report.

David McWilliam Struck and Killed While Crossing Highway 93

A hit-and-run accident claimed the life of a pedestrian as he crossed Highway 93 shortly before 8:30 p.m. on the Fourth of July. Arizona Department of Public Safety accident investigators report that David McWilliam died after being struck by a vehicle driven by David Antista, who then fled the scene. Antista was later apprehended and is being held at the Mohave County Jail on charges of manslaughter.
