Separate accidents involving three semi-tractor trailers killed two people over the weekend and injured several others.

13 Year Old Girl Killed, Monica Garcia and Another Child Injured in Boating Accident

An as yet unidentified 13 year old girl was killed in a boating accident on the Colorado River shortly after noon Saturday. Kevin Morgan, age 42 of Long Beach, California, was arrested and charged with operating a watercraft while intoxicated. The accident occurred near Davis Camp South Beach when the 20-foot ski boat he was piloting smashed into a personal watercraft carrying three people.

Accident Causes Tragic Loss for Rayyan Family

A Scottsdale family suffered a tragic loss Friday afternoon when the vehicle in which they were riding left the roadway and rolled. Dead at the scene were the driver, Maher Rayyan, and Maha Rayyan. The two other passengers, Isa Rayyan and Zarifeh Rayyan, were transported to Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear with serious injuries.

Danielle Fletcher and Sabrina Jensen Killed in Wrong-Way Crash

Danielle Fletcher of Haleiwa, Hawaii and Sabrina Jensen of Huntington Beach, California were killed by a wrong-way driver last Friday. Ms. Fletcher was the driver and Ms. Jensen the front seat passenger when a vehicle driven by Daniel Porter crossed the centerline of Interstate 10 at milepost 94 and struck their vehicle head-on. The back seat passenger was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Rita Etzl Killed in Indiana Crash

Rita Etzl of Phoenix was killed Wednesday when a dump truck heading in the opposite direction hydroplaned, crossed the centerline, then collided head-on with the Honda SUV in which Ms. Etzl was traveling. The tragic incident occurred on rain-soaked SR-62 near Georgetown, Indiana.

Jarvis Crenshaw and Danny Haro Killed in Separate Accidents While Working on Arizona Highways

Jarvis Crenshaw died a day after he was struck by a passenger vehicle while working on a section of the East Loop 101 in Scottsdale. Shortly before 3:00 a.m. Monday, crew members from a construction company were removing barricades to reopen the southbound lanes of Loop 101 near 90th Street. Mr. Crenshaw was hit by a black Chrysler.
In another accident, tow-truck driver Danny Haro was killed on June 3, 2016 as he attended to a stalled vehicle on Interstate 10 near Benson. Mr. Haro was struck around 2:30 a.m. by a white box truck. The driver then fled the scene. Authorities continue in their efforts to locate the driver.

Jesse Entzminger Dies in Car Accident

Jesse Entzminger died when the vehicle he was driving crashed into a fast food restaurant. The accident occurred around 11:00 p.m. Saturday at the Whataburger restaurant near 32nd Street and Bell Road.

Superintendent David Bealer Dies Following Crash

Dr. David E. Bealer of Yuma died of injuries he received in a head-on collision with a wrong-way driver on Interstate 8 while on his way to work Tuesday morning. Dr. Bealer was the superintendent of the San Pasqual Valley Unified School District since May 2011.

Dorothy Paul died when she drove in the wrong direction on Interstate 8 and struck another vehicle head-on. The incident occurred Tuesday morning on I-8 between the 16th Street and Giss Parkway on-ramps.

Jonathan Guardad Killed in Street Racing Crash

Jonathan Guardad was killed in an accident that may have resulted from street racing near 47th Avenue and Thomas Road on Sunday morning. Phoenix Police accident investigators report that a 23 year old man lost control of his Chevrolet Camaro and spun into oncoming traffic. Witnesses report that the Camaro was racing with another vehicle immediately preceding the incident.
