Latissia Morris, Aden Morris and Georgia Burnside Killed in Head-on Collision Outside Payson
Payson, Arizona—James Duncan, age 49 of Scottsdale, has been arrested in connection with the deadly crash outside Payson last week that killed Latissia Morris, age 38, Aden Morris, age 15, and Georgia Burnside, age 54.
The crash occurred as Duncan was driving southbound on SR-87 north of Payson and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic. He collided with a pickup truck driven by Ms. Morris and occupied by her son, Aden. Aden was ejected from the truck and did not survive his injuries. Ms. Morris was taken to a Phoenix-area hospital in critical condition where she died.
Georgia Burnside was a passenger in the truck driven by Duncan and was taken to Payson Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Duncan was taken to a Phoenix-area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, Duncan was arrested and charged with three counts of manslaughter, five counts of endangerment and DUI-related offenses.
