Kimberly Montana Injured, Matthew Teacher Killed When Car Plunges Into Canyon

Show Low, Arizona—Matthew Teacher, age 19, was killed yesterday when the vehicle he was driving went off the road and plunged into the Salt River Canyon. Kimberly Montana, age 19, a passenger in the vehicle, sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the two were traveling westbound on U.S. 60 near Show Low when Mr. Teacher failed to negotiate a turn and the vehicle plunged 1,000 feet below into the canyon.
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Teacher and wish Ms. Montana a speedy and complete recovery from her injuries.
