Car Accident Near Downtown Phoenix Sends Three to Hospital

Phoenix, Arizona—Three people were hospitalized following a crash near Buckeye Road and 7th Avenue early Friday morning at about 1:00 a.m. Accident investigators report that a Pontiac sedan struck a curb before crashing into a pickup truck.
The as-yet unidentified driver of the Pontiac was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Two passengers also were taken by ambulance to a local hospital with less serious injuries.
The accident investigation is ongoing. No additional information presently is available regarding the names or current medical conditions of the injured.
