ADOT Employee Frank Dorizio Hit, Killed While Working

Phoenix, Arizona—Frank Dorizio tragically was killed while he was setting up a highway sign as part of his work with the Arizona Department of Transportation.

According to an ADOT release, Mr. Dorizio, age 55, was setting up a sign on I-10 south of Phoenix to alert drivers to pavement repairs along the highway. He is the first ADOT worker killed on the job sicne 1998.

Mr. Dorizio joined ADOT in October 2015. He was assigned to ADOT's Incident Response Unit.

The accident is under investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
