
Gertrud Sieverd Killed While Crossing Phoenix Street on Halloween Night

Phoenix, Arizona—Gertrud Sieverd, age 79, was struck and killed as she crossed a street in central Phoenix last night. Phoenix Police accident investigators report that a car driven by an as-yet unidentified 36-year-old male was northbound on 7th Avenue at about 7:45 p.m. when he struck Ms. Sieverd as she crossed near Palm Lane.
The driver remained at the scene. Ms. Sieverd was transported to a nearby hospital where she was declared deceased. The investigation is ongoing.
