Phoenix, Arizona—A suspected impaired driver who ran a red light caused a car accident that resulted in the death of Jared Carillo, age 20. The accident occurred on Thursday night at about 7:00 p.m.
Phoenix Police accident investigators report that an SUV traveling southbound on 35th Avenue ran a red light and collided with Mr. Carillo’s small passenger car that was westbound on Buckeye Road. The unidentified driver of the SUV exhibited signs of impairment. Toxicology test results will help police determine appropriate charges.
