Jesus Alejo Lopez Killed in Phoenix Car Accident

Phoenix, Arizona—Jesus Alejo Lopez, age 43, was turning left from 69th Avenue onto McDowell Road when his minivan was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling westbound on McDowell Road on Monday night at about 9:30 p.m.  Mr. Lopez was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The identity of the F-150 driver was not released.  He remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.  Phoenix Police say that his speed and apparent impairment appear to be factors contributing to the deadly car accident.  The investigation continues.
