Jesus Padilla Killed, Others Injured After Driver Runs Red Light at Phoenix Intersection

Phoenix, Arizona—Jesus Padilla, age 35, was killed and several others sustained serious injuries as a result of a collision on Sunday evening. The crash occurred at the intersection of Central Avenue and Camelback Road.

According to accident investigators with the Phoenix Police Department, a woman driving a Toyota Camry ran a red light and crashed into multiple vehicles. Eight vehicles were involved in the crash. The woman who ran the red light showed signs and symptoms of impairment.

Mr. Padilla was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he died from his injuries. Three other people were taken to hospitals in critical condition. Their current conditions are unknown.
