
Karen Render Killed in Head-on Accident on Grand Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, Arizona—Karen Render, age 52 of Surprise, died in a head-on collision on Grand Avenue near Missouri Avenue during Tuesday morning’s rush hour traffic.
Accident investigators report that an unidentified 28-year-old woman who was 35 weeks pregnant lost control of her minivan when she hit a tire in the road. The minivan crossed the median and struck an oncoming car driven by Ms. Render head-on. Ms. Render was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pregnant woman suffered serious injuries. She was transported to the hospital where she delivered a healthy baby girl.
