
Man Pushing Wheelchair Struck and Killed

Phoenix, Arizona—A 62-year-old man was struck and killed while pushing a wheelchair across Bell Road at 23rd Avenue just before 7:00 a.m. this morning. The man's identity has not yet been released.
Phoenix Police accident investigators report that the traffic signal apparently changed while the man was in the process of crossing the street. He was struck by a westbound car driven by a 77-year-old man. Police did not identify either the victim or the suspect.
The crash remains under investigation.
