Matthew Calles Fatally Injured in Car Accident

Phoenix, Arizona—Matthew Calles, age 9, died as a result of injuries he received when a car traveling southbound on 36th Street struck him as he crossed the street just north of Thomas Road shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday night. The driver, who police say was not impaired, remained at the scene.
We extend our condolences to Matthew’s family and friends over this tragic loss for them.
