Pedestrian Struck as Two Cars Collide in Phoenix

Phoenix, Arizona—An unidentified female pedestrian was seriously injured when two cars collided at Bell Road and 19th Avenue early Tuesday afternoon.   

Accident investigators report that the woman was thrown into the air and landed approximately 30 feet from the accident scene.  She was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police asked drivers to avoid the area while crews repaired a power pole that was knocked down in the accident.

Accident investigators have not released the woman’s name as their investigation continues.
