Officer Chase McCance Injured in Crash with Wrong-Way Driver

Phoenix, Arizona—Officer Chase McCance of the Phoenix Police Department sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision early this morning. The crash occurred near 26th Street and Cactus Road at around 6:00 a.m.
According to investigators with the Phoenix Police Department, a white pickup truck was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of Cactus Road when it collided head-on with the patrol vehicle. Police believe impairment and speed may have been factors in the accident.
Officer McCance was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
