Phoenix, Arizona—Tran Viet Truong, age 48, was killed last Monday by a driver who was reportedly impaired, according to the Phoenix Police Department. Accident investigators say that Ms. Truong was westbound on Bell Road near 29th Avenue when the crash occurred.

An as-yet unidentified man, age 64, eastbound on Bell in a Dodge Durango crossed over the raised median into oncoming traffic.  The resulting collision propelled Ms. Truong’s Toyota Camry into a block wall surrounding the home of Lewis Armstrong.

Mr. Armstrong and his brothers rendered aid at the scene until emergency personnel arrived.  Ms. Truong was transported to a nearby hospital where she died.

We extend our condolences to Tran Viet Truong’s family and friends at this time of great loss for them.
