Pedestrian Struck and Killed Near Baseline and Central in Phoenix

Phoenix, Arizona—Phoenix Police accident investigators report that a 40-year-old pedestrian was struck by an eastbound Jeep Wrangler while crossing Baseline Road on Wednesday night. The incident occurred on Baseline Road near Central Avenue shortly after 11:00 p.m.
The critically injured man was transported to a nearby hospital where he died. Investigators did not release the victim’s name. Neither impairment nor speed appear to be factors contributing to the accident.
