Isaiah Espinoza Killed in Single Vehicle Crash

Florence, Arizona—Isaiah Espinoza, age 6, died from injuries he received after being ejected from his father’s pick-up truck in an accident that occurred on Friday evening.  Pinal County Sheriff’s investigators report that the boy’s father, Jose Espinoza, age 25 of Maricopa, drifted off the road, then his vehicle rolled when he attempted to return to the road.  Both father and son were ejected from the truck.  Neither was wearing a seat belt.

Mr. Espinoza was hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening.  Investigators report that results of blood tests are forthcoming, and may result in criminal charges being filed.

We extend our sympathy to the Espinoza family at this time of great loss for them.
