Sarah Buntin and Nicole Nanni Killed in Car Accident Outside Chino Valley
Chino Valley, Arizona—Sarah Buntin, age 17, and Nicole Nanni, age 18, died when their Toyota MR2 collided with a Jeep Cherokee just outside Chino Valley late Monday afternoon. Ms. Buntin and Ms. Nanni both lived in Paulden. Scott Enyart Junior, age 44 and also from Paulden, sustained serious injuries in the collision and was air evac'd to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment of injuries described as life-threatening.
The car accident occurred on Monday afternoon on Highway 89 near Bethany Lane and was investigated by the Chino Valley Police Department.
The Arizona Department of Transportation closed Highway 89 in both directions for several hours to accomodate the investigation. There are no known witnesses and police have not released information on how the accident occurred. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call (928) 771-3260.
